Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 victories have been won on hardcourt
A comeback Daniil Medvedev secured his initial trophy for nearly 30 months with success over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament championship match.
Medvedev, a ex- world number one, has endured a challenging period, winning just one match at the big events and suffering a difficult moment at the US Open.
His unpredictability on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serving in especial - resulted in him falling of the elite rankings and finally separating with long-time mentor Cervara.
Now training with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, he has gradually progressed in the last few weeks - climaxing in a closely contested competitive victory over challenger Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's first trophy following the Italian tournament and first on a hardcourt since March of the previous year.
Victory also signifies Medvedev has achieved twenty-one titles at 21 various events.
"For the first time I am participating in a competition with my both daughters at once, so to secure a trophy is particularly special," commented tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my child my daughter, because the maiden victory I won when my child my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his previous six championship matches, featuring in that event earlier this year.
Medvedev's defensive strategy and frequent outbursts on the tennis court had prompted some to question if his ability to play at the top level was over.
Yet the athlete has made changes in the past month, making an effort to advance forward and play aggressively, backed up by an improved serve.
He recovered from a disadvantage in the initial set against the challenging opponent, securing 4 of the last five games to gain the advantage.
Both players swapped service breaks in the second set before Moutet, bidding for his first professional title, seized the initiative to force a final set.
Moutet rescued four early-game chances in a close final set before Medvedev broke to that score to secure the win.
Appropriately, he clinched the title with a rally at the net area, with his opponent failing to manage a shot after a lengthy match.
